MEDIEVAL INSTITUTIONS IN SPAIN

The political structure of the kingdoms was based on three institutions : the monarchy, theCortes and the municipal council.The Cortes were created when the monarchs allowed municipal representatives into the extraordinary Curia, an assembly of nobles and clergy.
